Nabygelegen at the Limiet

Dessert Wine of exceptional quality, a MUST BUY!

Stunning gold colour, clear and bright with rich soft stone fruit on the nose, full of honey and apricots with a hint of lemon on the palate. There is light medium acidity and full body but just wait for a fabulous and luscious lingering finish - it seriously stays for ever!

Made from a 22 year old Harsleveleu vineyard, production of At the Limiet is incredibly labour intensive. Made from 13 different harvests the first juice is pressed very gently and stored at low temperatures in the grape store. Further harvests are then carried out when grapes have shrivelled to raisins. The desiccated fruit is then mixed with the first pressed juice. This is repeated until either it rains or the raisins are all used.

Fermentation takes place in 225 litre French oak barrels using local wild yeasts. The wine is then racked twice, cold stabilised and bottled.

The great Jancis Robinson (www.jancisrobinson.com) recently awarded At the Limiet “Wine of the week” status describing it as “a strange beast, a seriously tangy sweet white wine with a delicious dry bite on the finish”
